hi all, great work. Thanks. I've just installed 2.7-test1 on my EfikaMX Smarttop but the provided bootkernel did't work thus i rolled a new one always using the same kernel archive 2.6.31.14.22-efikamx_20110510 . http://cruxppc.org/~acrux/arm/kernel/ There you can also find a a Pkgfile and a pre-compiled (on 2.7-test1) mkimage port. cheers, - --nico - -- GNU/Linux on Power Architecture CRUX PPC - http://cruxppc.org/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.17 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAk3MoggACgkQxq34tDeO7Li+6ACfZs9dMZT1adkDg6sai5rl66m+ TqcAnik6XjP5Ds0Ae1HmCZQ5kyH+BwYO =3PhZ -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

i used this one: http://crux-arm.nu/files/devices/efikamx/uImage-2.6.31.14.22-efikamx_2011051... http://crux-arm.nu/files/devices/efikamx/modules-2.6.31.14.22-efikamx_201105... There isn't a log, it loads the kernel and then nothing other. Did you builtin serial console support? chers, -- GNU/Linux on Power Architecture CRUX PPC - http://cruxppc.org/

That should be fine. Are modules in the right place? (there are lot of modules in this kernel and I let them like they are provided in the default config for these devices).

You can verify the config in gitweb, there is a kernel/efikamx.git collection. I got it from defconfig provided in the master branch, then it should have serial console support.
chers, Regards.

yes, i did. There are a lot of modules because their default config is provided to be used on Ubuntu and with initrd. On crux, i guess, there is no reason to build everything... -- GNU/Linux on Power Architecture CRUX PPC - http://cruxppc.org/

Perfect, I reviewed your config and updated the one provided in git (the default one) with yours. It needs testing to verify if it's fine. --- Learning bit by bit Victor Martinez | http://lokalix.dyndns.org

Now we're working on getting support for more kernel devices.
I made these lasts weeks some tests in different devices. Here there is a little report about them: - wm8505: it works great. Precompiled kernel and test1 release. - efikamx-smarttop: great too, custom kernel (with last acrux changes) and test1 release. - omap850: there are some problems at boot time with udev. It needs more time to get it working (at least, it's supported by 2.7 too). I'll try to get more time and I feel like to do it. - ipaq191x: sttoped development for 2.7 branch. - j72x: same as ipaq191x.
Please report problems if you find them. Help is always welcome :D
