Hello
Hey Matti,
i've been trying to get different versions of mainline linux source ( 3.19.8 for instance, and even 'git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git' ) built for cubieboard 2 without success.
the problem is sunxi-mmc driver = mainline u-boot loads fdt file and uImage just fine from sd-card, kernel begins to boot, but is unable to mount root partition because of sunxi-mmc error. no matter what i do ...
( i am able to build or cross build sunxi-u-boot and sunxi-linux from their respective git systems - but using mainline u-boot and kernel is the correct way )
Here we aren't using mainline kernel. If you want to compile by yourself the one provided prebuilt, you can check development section in our web and look for kernet/cubieboard2 repository.
( and no - i won't accept any prebuilt kernels or stuff as i am minimalist who wishes to do his own way of building about everything from source = i only need crux to boot the system, after which i rip off a lot of stuff and begin building )
You have prebuilt images and our Makefile to build your own. Anyways, have fun :)
any comments ? many thanks in advance :-)
