I installed crux 3.3 on an OdroidXU4. Everything works fine except when I plug in a thumb drive into either front USB 3 port, nothing shows up in dmesg and no /dev/sd* devices are created. Any idea on what I might be missing?
Hello Alexander, are you using a kernel from another distro where the thumb drive works as expected?
Thanks, Alexander Matviychuk
Regards,
Tested yesterday on my Odroid-XU4 and confirned this behaviour. Connecting some USB 3.0 sticks and none was detected, but reading on odroid forums, I've seen that may be it could be related to a dirty USB connectors. After following their recommendations to clean them and booting with the stick connected, it was recognized right: 1.774756] sdhci: Secure Digital Host Controller Interface driver [ 1.780638] sdhci: Copyright(c) Pierre Ossman [ 4.502828] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] 30712320 512-byte logical blocks: (15.7 GB/14.6 GiB) [ 4.502880] sd 0:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg0 type 0 [ 4.514780] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Write Protect is off [ 4.519126] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Mode Sense: 45 00 00 00 [ 4.519515] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Write cache: disabled, read cache: enabled, doesn't support DPO or FUA [ 6.107763] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI removable disk Hope this help.
